Done Your Way.

A Postpartum Doula or Newborn Care Specialist is trained in the newest, safest methods of care for both a newborn baby and the new family. Support looks differently for each family depending on the birth experience, family support and postpartum needs. These may include things such as breastfeeding support, pumping/formula management, babywearing, household chores, grocery shopping, meal preparation, companionship, sleep support, and sibling transitions. Postpartum support is also available for your hospital stay, which is often utilized in the case of a cesarean birth. A postpartum doula does not dictate how you should parent; they provide non-judgmental support for your decisions and questions while reminding you that you already know the best decisions for your family!

Does This Support Replace My

Partner or Family?

The short answer is 'no'. We are there to work along side your partner, grandparents, and extended family and friends to supplement your support team. A doula's role is to offer a number of things both partner and family may not be able to offer, including up to date evidenced based information, familiarity with newborn babies, recovering from birth, and continuous emotional reassurance. We believe in working as a team to best support a growing family!
