So, we took a pregnancy test…

So, we took a pregnancy test…It has been a while since I last blogged, but life is busy. So, to update you all, I had another lining check that had my lining at a 16 and took a COVID-19 test that came out NEGATIVE!! The test was a self-collection, so it wasn’t that bad! Since lining was strong and no signs of COVID, we moved forward with the embryo transfer on 7/28. Transfer went smooth, my husband drove me and waited in the waiting room. The clinic tried to only allow one of my IP’s in the room, but I fought for them both to be in there and they were allowed! I couldn’t imagine me nor them having to make the decision who has to stay out. The whole process of transferring the embryo took about 3 minutes, and we got to watch on the monitor. We only transferred one embryo because transferring more than one embryo doesn’t increase your chances of getting pregnant, it only increases your chances of getting pregnant with multiples.

After transfer, we got McDonalds fries because its good luck in the surrogacy world and my IP wore green for luck as well! I went home and was on a modified bedrest, so I kicked up my feet in my bed and watched Hamilton again!

We had our first beta test today, which is the blood test for HGC levels of pregnancy….

It was POSITIVE!!!!! We are officially PREGNANT!!

My levels were 65 and they want to be at a 70 so I have to go back next week to make sure they keep rising (which they should as they do in any pregnancy).

I am so humbled and excited for my IP’s who have been waiting 2 years for this! I am so happy for them and we are all cautiously optimistic that this little baby will continue to grow!!! Even though we transferred last week, I am 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant, because the embryo was already created and developing. I have been feeling nauseous a lot and tired but happy to be able to provide my IP’s with a child of their own!

Stay tuned next week to see how those levels are doing!
