Surrogacy: 3 months pregnant!

Well, we made it to 12 weeks!!

Pregnancy has been going pretty smoothly, however the nausea is kicking my butt!! A friend of mine bought me some Sea-bands, which are wrist bands that you wear on both wrists and they have a small ball on them that put pressure on an acupressure point. They have really helped with the nausea so I’m thankful for that. I am no longer at CCRM and have officially had my first OB appointment at GW University Hospital where I will be delivering.

The appointment went great, and one of my IP’s was able to go with me! However, they took my blood pressure 3 times because it was so high (144/99)!!! The OB wanted to put me on medication (and honestly, I didn’t HATE the idea because preeclampsia is nothing to be played with), however, I asked if I could try to regulate it naturally by seeing a nutritionist or dietitian. I have never had high blood pressure before, and it wasn’t an issue with either of my kids. He agreed and also told me to get a blood pressure cuff to check it at home twice a day and message him with the readings so he could keep track. I am happy to report that every reading has been normal and not elevated. I think the high reading that day was just from the stress of the day.

My lower back has been killing me, so I plan to start back to my chiropractor, and I scheduled monthly in-home massages with our massage therapist at DPG! I’m really excited about that! My next OB appointment is October 21st. Until then!
